Beginning therapy often comes with uncertainty.

You may wonder what to talk about, how sessions work, or whether therapy will help.

Therapy is a confidential, supportive space where you are not judged or analyzed. You do not need to have a clear narrative or fully formed goals. We begin wherever you are.

In early sessions, we will take time to understand your current life context, the challenges you are facing, and what you hope therapy can offer. There is no single “right” pace—some clients need space to be deeply heard, while others want help organizing thoughts or identifying direction. Your therapy will be shaped around your needs and preferences.

As therapy progresses, you may begin to:

  • Develop greater awareness of your emotions and internal responses

  • Recognize recurring patterns in relationships or decision-making

  • Clarify values, priorities, and direction

  • Experiment with new ways of responding to life’s challenges

Therapy is not about being given answers or instructions. It is about restoring your capacity for choice, so that your actions align more closely with what matters most to you.

You are always an active participant in the process. You may ask questions, share concerns, and help shape the focus and pace of therapy. We believe that meaningful change happens through collaboration, honesty, and respect for your autonomy.
